This is not neccesarily a bad thing. The reality of our lives here in 2008 is that 9/11 left the government no opposition, no choice. Unless people have something to hide I doubt the government really cares about or is listening for when your first date is, or what you did yesterday. In reality they are searching for content pertaining to our nations safety and well being. Did 9/11 not move people to accept that changes will come that we may not like them all but I prefer our war be fought over there than here. The government listening in our phone lines is meant to protect us and heck they can listen all they want in our household if it's going to make sure that we are safe. Just one persons opinion here. With that said I dont feel that our rights are being broken. We still have freedom of speech and we still have our rights as americans. The government listening in on our phone lines again is meant for protection. According to what I have read the data obtained can't be used for anything else. No matter what fears others want to put in others about the government we still have rights But I'd rather be a safe american.
